The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Piermont Post 7462 is closing its doors after decades of incredibly generous community services to our veterans as well as the larger community, too many to list.
That’s the Bad News.
The Good News is the utterly magnificently thoughtful act of the Post’s members to contribute part of their savings to the Rockland Homes For Heroes Supportive Apartments for former homeless veterans in Tappan.
It is a contribution of $5,000, which will be used to help add 14 more Apartments this year. Presenting the check is Anne Marie Ciganek, who has represented the Post on its many previous kindnesses. We hope to earn their continued kindness as devotees of supporting our veterans. We deeply appreciate the Post for being such great Americans and honoring our veterans.
