September 27th was the United Way Day of Caring in Rockland County, a brilliant concept in which businesses and other community groups donate a day of labor to many wonderful charities. Everything is organized and coordinated by the United Way.

One great example are 4 wonderful people who contributed their labor to our Rockland Homes for Heroes organization, which serves homeless veterans. Three of these folks are from the Leadership Rockland Program, operated by the Rockland Business Association, and the other is from the Mental Health Association of Westchester which provides services in Rockland.

They are pictured below standing next to John Murphy of Rockland Homes for Heroes. They are (L to R): Tania Hammock,  Marisa Fremont, Lourdes Pring and Dan Caprara, who is always there for our veterans.
