Something wonderful happened on this very special day. A lovely group of folks in the “ARC” Nyack Day Program for our intellectually and developmentally disabled neighbors volunteered to contribute their appreciated labor to giving a face lift to the Community Room at the “Rockland Homes For Heroes” Supportive Apartment for homeless veterans on Western Highway in Tappan.
It was a very joyful event for everyone to see these folks in action supporting our veterans.
The “Rockland Homes for Heroes”, a 501[c]3 charity, wishes to publicly express its gratitude to the very enlightened and compassionate “United Way” and the very highly respected ARC, one of Rockland’s beloved Care Providers to people with Special Needs.
These 3 entities of volunteerism are what makes Rockland a model community of giving and caring.
