On Thanksgiving day, One Common Thread and about 40 to 50 volunteers from the community delivered complete Thanksgiving dinners to veterans and other people in need through at Rockland County and in Norwood New Jersey totaling 74 meals. The dinners for the disabled veterans at the Home For Heroes in Tappan were delivered by fellow veterans, the Orangetown police, the Girl Scouts, and other volunteers from the community. Recipients got a nice meal and a smile, and those who donated and worked on this project got the gift of kindness and humility in the true spirit of Thanksgiving. Another example of how the community comes together at times like these to help those in need and to show their appreciation for others!
